Changes to school uniform for September 2025

We are implementing a ‘hybrid year’ during the academic year beginning September 2025 to allow a smooth transition to our new active uniform. This transition will provide parents and children with the flexibility to choose between the previous uniform and the new active uniform for this academic year.

The new active uniform comprises the following items:
• Royal blue polo shirt with or without the school logo
• Royal blue school sweatshirt, jumper, cardigan, full-zip fleece, or half-zip fleece, again with
or without the school logo
• Plain black shorts (no shorter than mid-thigh), jogging bottoms, sport skort or sports leggings
• Plain black or white trainers
• All children are required to have a pair of wellies in school

For your reference, our previous uniform remains as follows:
Everyday School Uniform:
• White polo shirt with or without the school logo
• Grey or black tailored trousers, tailored shorts, skirt, or pinafore dress
• Royal blue school sweatshirt, jumper, or cardigan with or without the school logo
• A blue and white checked gingham dress may be worn during warmer weather
PE and Forest School Uniform: (To be worn to school on designated PE and Forest School days, as well as during any sporting clubs or events-children will not change their uniform in school):
• Royal blue polo shirt with or without the school/forest school logo
• Royal blue hoodie with or without the school/forest school logo
• Plain black shorts, jogging bottoms, or sports leggings
• Trainers (these do not have to be black for PE/Forest School)
• Wellies, as previously mentioned

New expectations for footwear will also be fully implemented from September 2025: Plain black or white trainers only every day.

Jewellery Expectations:

• Children throughout school are not permitted to wear jewellery, nail varnish or make-up with the exception of one small pair of plain stud earrings, a small watch.
• Earrings and watches are not to be worn to school on PE, Forest School and swimming days.
• The preference is that no jewellery at all is worn at any time.
• No fitness trackers or smartwatches of any type are permitted in school.
• Children wearing jewellery that is not permitted will be asked to remove it and it will be handed to their adult at the end of the day. Children who are unable to remove jewellery independently will have the support of an adult or a parent/carer will be asked to come to school to remove the jewellery.

You can also order self adhesive labels with your child's name that can be put on items such as clothes, lunch boxes etc.  These can be ordered from Stikins and for every order the school will get some commission that will be used in school.
