Class charities
At Our Lady and St Joseph’s, we place our Gospel inspired values at the heart of our everyday care for one another. We want to follow Jesus’ example and show love for others, just as Jesus’ shows love for us.
Every class in our school has their own mission. They work together to think about and decide how to help. They tell other classes about what they’re doing and how they can also contribute. Together, with our parents, families and church, we show Jesus’ love and care to others in and beyond our community.
In the Parable of the Goats and the Sheep, Jesus said,
“I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home. I was naked, and you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me.”
He wants us all to do these things for others because when we do, we are also doing it for him. Every class’ mission is inspired by this parable.
