Chaplaincy
Mini Vinnies are the youngest members of the St. Vincent de Paul Society (SVP), an international Christian voluntary organisation dedicated to tackling poverty in all its forms by providing practical assistance to people in need. Mini Vinnie's have two representatives from each year group Y2 to Y6 and meet with Miss Conway every other week.
Here are some ways that Mini Vinnies have served our community:
-Teacher appreciation day
Mini Vinnies created a teacher appreciation certificate for each member of staff in school to show how grateful we are for their help and support.

Year 6 children work towards the Faith in Action PIN award. We have lots of children who volunteer to do this in their own time. Miss Conway meets with Faith in Action children every other week.
Pin Level is designed to allow young people to discover how faith shapes lives, thus acting as a stepping stone to the higher award levels. Having taken early steps in establishing a personal relationship with God, participants begin to see that this relationship has an outward and visible effect upon them and those around them. As they seek to know God better, they become aware that others, of all ages, are trying to do the same. This draws us together in community. Seeking to serve the community helps us discover even more about ourselves, each other and God.
Our Faith in Action children have been involved with several initiatives previously.
-Advent prayer club
Faith in Action group planned and led a weekly prayer club throughout Advent for other year groups to attend. They planned activities such as reading books, writing prayers, having time to pray with the nativity scene and responding to deeper thinking questions.
